Our Approach

Diagnose

We learn all about you. Your business, people, brand and customers. Your strengths, weaknesses, challenges and ambitions. Where you’ve been, where you are and where you want to be.

Design

We take everything we’ve learnt and use it to design learning experiences that bring your brand to life so your people can really learn to love it. Enabling them to achieve more together, deliver service that lives up to your brand promise and keep pace with transformational change.

Deliver

Our training programmes create a powerful emotional impact, generating immediate positive changes in behaviour. We work with you to ensure your people have the tools and knowledge to live your values in everything they do.

Evaluate

We will agree at the outset how we’ll measure success focussed on your KPIs.

Alongside business metrics, we will look at the impact of learning on our people, culture and performance.

Meet the team

Vicky Sands

Vicky Sands

Hi, I’m Vicky – as office manager here at LearningPointZero, I keep the behind-the-scenes bits running smoothly. I’ve got heaps of experience and really enjoy the variety of my job, whether I’m tallying spreadsheets or helping to create a great environment for the team to do their stuff.

I love learning languages, walking and swimming, and head to a West Country beach as often as I can!

Angie Holden

Angie Holden

Angie has been making the numbers add up for businesses large and small for most of her career. She’s here to keep us all on the straight and narrow. She’ll look after everything to do with finance, including making sure we get paid…and that we pay others on time too.

When she’s not tapping away on her calculator, she’s a mum of four, who all keep her on her toes and she manages her very own big house in the country…it’s a Blur song reference for those of you younger than 30.

Florrie Wilby

Florrie Wilby

I’m Florrie – I manage projects for LearningPointZero. It’s my job to bring Aimee’s wonderful ideas to life and make things happen!

With a background in the arts and a degree in psychology, I love using creative storytelling to explain human behaviour. LPZ’s actor-based training programmes are the perfect combination. Before joining the PointZero group, I was an acting agent and theatre producer in London. I’ve had the privilege of working with some fabulous creative talent and I’m excited to see what they can bring to LPZ.

Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, mostly with food and wine. I’ve got plenty of crafty hobbies, including jewellery making, stained glass window making and pottery. You’ll also find me doing yoga and on the netball court with my team, the Netchicks.

Andy Bamford

Andy Bamford

I hate writing bios. I started an employer marketing agency in Bristol, many years ago, with the help of a few friends. Over the years we got a bit better at what we did until we woke up one morning and we were the largest independently owned agency in our sector. We sold that business in 2015, and I stayed on as Chief Executive for 3 years – before leaving to put my feet up. That didn’t last long, as I was getting a bit bored and I was really excited by the prospect of working again.

I’ve got quite a few grey hairs, lots of stories and a view on where our market’s going, which I’d be more than happy to share over lunch, dinner or just a chat. Whatever takes your fancy.

Aimee Shortman

Aimee Shortman

From an early age I’ve always been passionate about the performance of others and as a result I’ve spent my working life developing a deep understanding of the conditions in which excellence can flourish. At all levels of an organisation it’s people who make a difference and when they’re engaged, motivated and inspired their collective potential is limitless.

My personal journey has taught me a lot too and it’s the unique blend of my personal and professional experiences that has helped shape my professional purpose; to use the energy of human connection to inspire individuals, unite teams and shape better futures. I approach all of my relationships with ambition and relentless energy which I use to help you drive your business forward and fulfil your potential.

Oli Trotter

Understanding what makes us tick is the bit of the job I love. Throughout my ten-year career I’ve worked closely with clients across iconic brands and multiple sectors including The Scottish Government, FMCG and financial services to get under the skin of the brief and develop bold ideas that work.

Whether it’s serving cocktails made from waste ingredients to the world’s top bartenders, chaperoning Sir Alex Ferguson on a film shoot or devising the customer experience for Manhattan’s first bourbon distillery, it’s been an adventure not short of variety or challenge. Just as well, as I am up for both.

Heidi Stephens

Heidi Stephens

I’ve been working in marketing for over 20 years, as both a senior strategist and a copywriter. Over the years I’ve worked on everything from sex toys and saucepans to cars and cruise ships*.

I’m really good at picking apart client briefs to find the insight and the opportunity that spark great creative thinking, then writing the words that inspire meaningful connections between brands and their employees. It’s a great job made considerably easier by the support of a brilliant team, and our clients aren’t bad either.

*Just to be clear, I’ve worked on cruise ship marketing and employee engagement, I’ve never actually worked on a cruise ship. Maybe one day.

Yazz Williams

Yazz Williams

Hi, I’m Yazz. It’s my job to take designs created by the senior creative team and prepare them for production.

It’s incredibly varied and can involve anything from fleshing out concepts to making simple corrections to colour, text or layout.

I’ve had a varied career so far, from working on tool packaging to editorial for women’s magazines and artworking for a UK branded clothing company. I wanted to challenge myself to develop further, but most importantly to find somewhere I belong. The team here are amazing and I can’t wait to see how I evolve in my role.

When I’m not an artworking Jedi, I really enjoy going to the cinema. I do like getting cozy and watching films at home, but no film is as good on the small screen.

Ben Keylock

Ben Keylock

My passions lie in storytelling and big ideas that really deliver on any brief. Over the past 17 years I’ve had the pleasure of solving creative problems for some of the biggest B2B and B2C brands around the world including Nationwide Building Society, Bosch, Vodafone, Coca-Cola, P&G, KPMG, Mitsubishi and Sophos to name but a few, winning a few awards along the way.

As Creative Director at LPZ I am responsible for leading and overseeing all brand and campaign activity from a creative and strategic viewpoint. From brief, conception, through to completion I strive for the most impactful, cohesive and engaging outputs for companies and organisations around UK and beyond.

A bit about me: I’ve sent a working lightbulb in the post and named a street in Bristol. I’ve worked with some of the best, and some of the worst and learnt just as much from both. If I hadn’t come into the world of brand & advertising, I think I would have been a woodman or a fisherman and more than once I have been used in photo and video shoots as a last minute model.

James Sharpe
Senior Designer

James Sharpe

Senior Designer

Hi, I’m James. I’ve been immersed in the Employer Brand sector for more than five years, drawing from my previous expertise in branding and editorial design. After studying Graphic Design at the University of the West of England, I joined the Point Zero group with a deep passion for conceptual design and typography. I’ve been recognised by the International Style of Typographic Design, maintaining my membership for more than seven years.

Throughout my career, I’ve taken on the role of creative lead for various clients, winning awards for projects for the National Trust, AXA, and Specsavers. As a Senior Designer, I’m involved in all aspects of our creative output, and I’m the go-to person for anything film-related. In my spare time I’m an avid cyclist and cat-lover.

Jack Cruwys-Finnigan

Jack Cruwys-Finnigan

Hi, I’m Jack – a graphic designer and Associate Creative Director. Over the years I have discovered a love for the more conceptual side of design and relish working in ‘campaign world’. I’ve previously worked with clients such as Lloyds Banking Group, Castrol, UWE Bristol and S&P Global Platts. We spend about a third of our lives at work, so anything I can do to make that a better place for people is a win for me.

Outside of work, I spend a lot (like a-lot) of time on my bike, a hobby I couldn’t live without. If I’m not cycling, chances are I’m persevering with some DIY as my partner and I are currently renovating our second project house. I love a challenge.

Mark-Anthony Jones

Mark-Anthony Jones

I’m Mark – my job is to design learning programmes for LearningPointZero.

I arrived in digital learning almost by accident. I was working in L&D, but had also taught myself graphic design and illustration in my spare time (I ran a t-shirt design brand and a small design agency too). Then I met Aimee online and ended up working together on a project. When an opportunity came up to work together full time, it felt like fate – our skills, attitude and outlook all seem to be perfectly in sync.

When I’m not delivering projects, I’m keeping up with what’s emerging or disrupting the industry so we can stay at the cutting edge of what’s possible. Outside work I’m enjoying life with my wife, kids, family and friends. I love following American football, music, sports, movies… and chilling outdoors when I can.
